The Flora Community Club, has a new website.

Please visit floracommunityclub.org for information on upcoming events.

Carroll Schools Superintendent John Sayers is retiring December 31, and the Carroll Consolidated School Board of Trustees is searching for the next Superintendent.

The Carroll Consolidated School Corporation Board of School Trustees is providing all district employees and interested community members an opportunity to have a say as to the desired qualities and abilities of the new superintendent.

The meeting for interested citizens is scheduled for the Carroll Junior Senior High School library Thursday, November 10th beginning at 7:00 pm. Board members will conduct this session. The meeting should last approximately one hour. A planned procedure will be used to gain information and opinion relative to four specific questions:

(1) Name a significant strength or success of the Carroll Consolidated School Corp. or greater community (why should someone want to come here?)

(2) What special background, skill, or knowledge base should the next superintendent have to be successful here?

(3)What personal quality, characteristic, or attitude should the board place as a high priority in selecting the next superintendent?

(4)Name a significant issue, challenge or needed improvement the next superintendent will face in our school district.

In addition to the scheduled meetings, individuals can participate in the process by completing a brief questionnaire found on the school district’s web site.  The questionnaire will be available from  November 4th  to November 18th only.
